Italian White

The white wines of Italy have suffered from identity problems. This is changing, and Italian whites are taking their place among the world's best. Italians are growing international varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, as well as indigenous varieties like Vernaccia, Arneis, and Falanghina. Generally Italian whites are light, crisp, and fully dry; but some winemakers are beginning to make fuller-bodied wines as well.
